ESPN GameDay Comes to Provo!!

ESPN GameDay came to Provo! What an exciting day! Garrett, Brock and I decided to get up WAY too early and attend the festivities. We got up at 4:45, headed over to Garrett's had yummy breakfast burritos (thank you Garrett for making them) and headed over to campus. It was cold dark and too early....
When we got there, the parking lot was full of tents... people had been camping out. It was quite the seen. The security crew were letting people in WAY TOO SLOW... so Garrett went to check and make sure they were planning on having us all in the gates by 8:00. They assured us we would all get in. So, we walked back to the end of the VERY long line to wait our turn. After slowly moving in line for about 15 minutes, the line broke up and people started running in. Apparently, the security team decided to just let everyone in because they needed us all there before ESPN started filming. So, the madness began and we all got separated. We (thanks to cell phones) connected up again and ended up standing on the left side of the crowd. It was crowded and crazy, but fun.
Garrett's sign! :)
Brock holding up the Pitta sign! :)
Look at that... ESPN, right in front of me... live! :) So cool!!
They had a large blown up large screen so we could see them and us in the background... as well as the clips they were showing.
At the end, they had LaVell come out and interview. It was fun to see him and have the crowd go crazy as he came out of the bus onto the stage. All together, it was an exhausting morning, but a fun one Garrett, Brock and I will have to remember! :)
Game time... as you all know.... it was not my favorite game. Looking good Rachel, Becky, Melinda and Brock... this was our first 'cold game'. The others have been mostly warm... this one was cold from start to finish... we had coats and ponchos... so we were set. :)

So fun! Wish I was there. I was so surprised when I turned on GameDay and saw them in Provo! Wish they would have won, but oh well!
