Today a statue to honor my great, great, great Grandpa and Grandma Barlow was dedicated in at the 'This is the Place' park in Salt Lake. It was neat to be part of the whole event. There was just under 600 Barlow's gathered for the event. Israel Barlow was a friend and body guard of Joseph Smith. He also was one of the men sent to find a new place for the saints to live. He helped find the land of Commerce and helped purchase the land for the saints in Nauvoo.
I statue like this was also put in Nauvoo. It is a great tribute to a great couple. I am so grateful for such a great family line and such great examples.
It was crazy to see so many people who had the 'Barlow look' gathered together.

This is my first time to visit the 'This is the Place' park. It was cool to be there and fun to see all the different monuments and statues.
